About project

Blockexplorer for Bitcoin Gold blockchain was deployed in parallel with the Guarda Bitcoin Gold cryptocurrency wallet. It was necessary because when Bitcoin Gold blockchain launched the community didn't have ready-made solutions

Task

Being a bitcoin hard fork, the Bitcoin Gold blockchain has all of the previous BTC blocks. We needed to deploy an explorer, which would be synchronized with the network as quickly as possible because we had only 3 weeks to launch the solution.

Solutions

To solve the problem of fast synchronization, we searched all of the possible options: having studied a lot of tools and technologies, we finally decided launched blockexplorer on the insight-api. Our blocoexplorer Bitcoin Gold uses the insight-api api application, which accesses the bitcore BTG node. And we forked the insight-ui interface which was improved for best user experience.

In result, blockchain was synchronized for three days.
